News: Health and Air Quality Benefits of Policies to Reduce Coal-Fired Power Plant Emissions:

Check out this new study by Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill on the health benefits of reducing power plant emissions. The study  finds that North Carolina’s Clean Smokestacks Act, in conjunction with federal legislation, has substantially reduced coal-fired power plant emissions and, as a result, has improved air quality and public health in the state.
