Court Upholds 2015 Ozone Standards

Today, a federal appeals court upheld most of the 8-hour ozone standard set in 2015 by the EPA. This is very good news for our health, because since 2015 several major articles have come out showing even more death and disease caused by ozone.
Several major health organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Lung Association, and Mothers and Others for Clean Air, testified or advocated in favor of the new standard but noted that the 2015 standard of 70ppb was too lenient and it should be set at 60ppb. 70ppb is better for our health than the 2008 standard of 75ppb, so this is really good news that the court upheld the standard.
