At its June meeting, the American Medical Association (AMA) adopted a policy to ensure that physicians and physicians-in-training have knowledge of the science of climate change and adverse health effects due to climate change.

The AMA has also published a guide for medical practices and clinics about going green. The AMA estimates that practices can save $2000 per year or more on expenses by going green, as well as doing good for the planet. A real win-win!
