The Energy and Policy Institute is keeping a list of energy utilities that won’t disconnect people during the COVID19 pandemic. They’re updating it often. Thanks to Southern Alliance for Clean Energy for reposting it.
Duke Energy and Georgia Power are two utilities in the Southeast that are on the list. The Governor of South Carolina has also requested utilities to stop disconnecting people. Advocates are trying to get Alabama Power, which is part of Southern Company along with Georgia Power, to stop disconnecting people. Florida Power and Light is not clear about what they are doing.
