The Guardian newspaper has published a set of 8 policy ideas that will help reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. They include making it a major issue in campaigns, setting a price on carbon, decreasing or eliminating subsidies, scaling back demand for fossil fuels, stop flaring during production, carbon capture and storage, halt investment, and establish market metrics. There is a lot to think about in this article, and a lot we can ask our politicians to do to make the world healthier and safer.
