An opinion/editorial title “The Deadly Toll of Air Pollution” by Nicholas Bakalar in the New York Times yesterday starts with this sentence: “Air pollution, even at modest levels, is deadly.” He then discusses an article in last week’s New England Journal of Medicine. The article found increased deaths as PM10 and PM2.5 levels increased, across the world, including the United States.

The solution to air pollution is policy based. We all need clean vehicles and clean power. Please let your elected officials at every level (city/county, state, and federal) know that you value health and clean air.
