Economics Professor Says Included All Costs of Air Pollution

Professor Nicholas Sanders at Cornell has written a new article stating that the economic costs of air pollution itself must be included when discussing the economic costs of air pollution regulations, and that reducing air pollution is good for the economy despite the costs.
He says that reducing air pollution can benefit the economy, despite the increased costs of pollution control. He points out that air pollution has a large negative impact on the economy, including increased medical costs, decreased productivity, and decreased learning ability in students and adults. Reducing air pollution will give us a smarter, healthier, more productive workforce which is definitely good for the economy.
He also says that the price of solar energy is plummeting due to improvements in technology, and that investments in developing other kinds of renewable energy will really pay off in the long run.
