HB 874 is a win-win for Georgians. This bill is a step towards increasing clean renewable energy choices and away from harmful air pollution from coal-fired power plants. Children are more vulnerable to the health effects of air pollution because their lungs are still developing, and they often spend more time outdoors compared to adults. Air pollution from power plants triggers asthma attacks, worsens lung and heart health and can even lead to early death.
